Steady flow of an incompressible electrically conducting fluid between two coaxial non-conducting cylinders in the presence of a uniform radial magnetic field is investigated. The flow is due to the relative motions of the cylinders parallel to their common axis, with the cylinders maintained at constant temperatures. Elementary radially symmetric solutions are obtained for the velocity, induced magnetic field and temperature.
