Contents and methods of an algebra course (Q797568)

This is a reprint of an address given by the author during the second Conference on Mathematical Education in South Asia in 1960, published by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. It contains the view of the author about a year's introduction to abstract algebra course for graduate students. Some general remarks are followed by a description of the possible contents.
