[For part I, see J. Differ. Equations 33, 167-188 (1979; Zbl 0404.35058.] The author considers the problem of stabilizing a second order parabolic- type system by static output feedback. The controls are of distributed type and the measurements are spatial averages of the state. As the author himself writes, this is a much studied problem and the particular interest here is to examine the class of controllers which will stabilize. It can be interpreted as a type of robustness result.
