The authors first evaluate two integrals involving multiple hypergeometric functions of \textit{H. M. Srivastava} and \textit{M. C. Daoust} [Publ. Inst. Math., Beograd, N. Ser. 9(23), 199-202 (1969; Zbl 0175.072)] and discuss their applications in solving a problem of heat conduction considered by the reviewer [Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci., India, Sect. A 36, 359-360 (1966; Zbl 0227.35053)]. The authors also obtain some expansion formulae involving the function of Srivastava and Daoust.
