This note studies the problem of defining a topology on the space of Caratheodory functions which define the right-hand sides of a set of ordinary differential equations; a subset of this space is characterised such that the function which takes each right-hand side into the set of solutions of the corresponding ordinary differential equation is upper semi-continuous with respect to the defined topology on the characterised subset. It is shown that this topology, which is of compact-open type, is the weakest topology which gives the continuous dependence property.
