The complementation problem with respect to a projective plane is the following. Remove a certain configuration of points and lines from the plane and determine the parameters of the resulting space. Do these by themselves supply enough information with which to reconstruct the projective plane ? In this article it is shown that a linear space whose parameters are those of the complement of the union of two disjoint Baer subplanes is in fact such a complement.
