The author reduces the system governing the evolution of oxygen- chemotactic aerobic/anaerobic bacteria in the neighbourhood of spatially heterogeneous steady-state distributions to a parabolic system. Afterwards he establishes stability criteria by the usual way, imposing the spectra of the right hand operator to be included in the left half complex plane.
