The author studies some aspects of large cardinals theory when the axiom of choice (AC) is dropped out. The main feature is the construction of two models in which AC is false but there exist sequences of consecutive large cardinals. The construction uses extensions of Bull's techniques [\textit{E. L. Bull} jun., Ann. Math. Logic 15, 161-191 (1978; Zbl 0402.03048)].
