Referring to their previous paper [Prog. Theor. Phys. 67, 828-843 (1982)] where null tetrad vectors for the type D nonrotating empty spaces are represented in terms of the outgoing null coordinates, the authors study in this work the three classes \(A^*_+\), \(A^*_-\) and \(A^*_ 0\) and in order to see their physical meaning, they consider another special case with \(M=0\), which corresponds to a flat space-time without source. After some computations, the authors conclude that the \(A^*_+\) metric \((c=1)\) represents an extremal gravitational field of a slower-than-light source which moves with a uniform acceleration, while the \(A^*_-\) metric or \(A^*_ 0\) metric \((c=-1\) or \(c=0\) respectively) represents a field of a faster-than- or equal-to-light source with uniform acceleration, respectively. Comparisons between the present analysis and that of others are made. In this case, the authors highlight two Killing horizons if one takes the range of the coordinate \(r: 0<r<\infty\), while there is one horizon in the range \(-\infty <r<0\).
