    The title equation with a,b,c,d,e and f non-negative integers is solved. The related equations \(1+3^ a=2^ b 7^ c+2^ d 3^ e 7^ f\) and \(1+7^ a=2^ b 3^ c+2^ d 3^ e 7^ f\) are also solved. This work is related to and extends recent work of \textit{L. L. Foster} and \textit{J. L. Brenner} [Pac. J. Math. 101, 263-301 (1982; Zbl 0447.10021)] and the author [see i.e. Math. Comput. 44, 267-278 (1985), Math. Stud. 48(1984), 134-138 (1980; Zbl 0548.10013)].
