Let V be valuation domain, K its field of fractions, and \(I\subset V\) an ideal. The conductor \(I:_ KI\) is a subring of K containing V, \(I:_ KI=V_ P\) with a prime ideal P of V. The author proves that \(P=V:_ V(I:_ KI)\) if \(I:_ KI\neq V.\)
