A method for the numerical solution of inhomogeneous conservation laws is presented. This method is based on finite particle schemes for homogeneous partial differential equations as the Vlasov-Poisson system in kinetic theory. A numerical approximation of the associated velocity field is given. Numerical results are presented and compared with exact solutions.
