Let \(B_ 0\) and \(B_ 1\) be two Baer subspaces of PG(d,q) (q a square). It is shown that the number of s-dimensional subspaces of \(B_ 0\cap B_ 1\) is equal to the number of (d-s-1)-dimensional subspaces of \(B_ 0\cap B_ 1\) provided that \(d\geq 3s+2.\) (The authors conjecture that this restrictive assumption is not really essential.)
