Let \(HP^ n\) be the quaternionic projective space, and \(i: S^{4m}\to HP^ r_ m=HP^ r/HP^{m-1}=S^{4m}\cup e^{4m+4}\cup...\cup e^{4r}\) (m\(\leq r)\) be the inclusion to the bottom sphere in the stunted space. The author investigates the induced homomorphism \(i: \pi^ s_{4n-1}(S^{4m})\to \pi^ s_{4n-1}(HP^ r_ m)\) of i between the stable homotopy groups.
