The paper deals with square matrices over the semiring ([0,1],max,min) with max-min composition. It describes a semigroup of max-min linear operators which preserve commutativity of such matrices. Commutativity of symmetric matrices is considered separately. For matrices over a field these problems were treated by \textit{W. Watkins} [Linear Algebra Appl. 14, 29-35 (1976; Zbl 0329.15005)] and \textit{H. Radjavi} [ibid. 61, 219-224 (1984; Zbl 0547.15007)].
