If the solution set of an n-dimensional linear system of interval equations, \(Ax=b,\) lies in one orthant of \(R^ n\) only, or if A is an inverse-stable interval matrix, the interval hull of the solution set can be determined in a finite number of steps. They mainly consist in generating and solving a finite number of linear systems of noninterval equations the solutions of which form the extremum points of the above- mentioned hull.
