Transformation time-varying multivariable systems into block companion canonical forms (Q807528)

The authors present a technique for transforming a class of linear time- varying continuous systems into controllable and observable block companion canonical forms. Systematic algorithms for obtaining block companion canonical forms are presented and an example is provided to illustrate the algorithms. The paper generalizes the results of \textit{L. S. Shieh, S. Ganesan} and \textit{J. M. Navarro} [Transformations of a class of time-varying, multivariable control systems to block companion forms, Comput. Math. Appl. 14, 471-477 (1987)].
