Let the finite soluble group \(G=AB\) be the product of two subgroups A and B. It is shown that a subgroup H of G is subnormal in G if it is subnormal in \(<H,H^ g>\) for all g in A or B. This verifies a conjecture of H. Wielandt for finite soluble groups.
