The method of orthogonal polynomials is used for solving integral equations of the first kind with \(\Pi\)-kernels. The solvability of the algebraic system used in the method is proved and estimations for the approximate solution are given. The effectiveness of the given method for solving integral equations of the second kind with \(\Pi\)-kernels is shown and the high effectiveness for solving integral equations of the first kind with \(\Pi\)-kernels. Some numerical examples are given.
