A problem of discrete frequency-modulated signal transmission over a linear multipath channel is considered, where the channel parameters are slowly varying functions of time. Based on the generalized likelihood principle, different demodulation procedures are assessed, with or without assumption of the prior knowledge of the channel parameters.
