A subgroup D of a group G is said to be dual-standard if for all subgroups X and Y of G, we have \(<X\cap D,Y\cap D>=<X,Y>\cap D\). The dual-standard subgroups of finite groups were characterized by Zappa and this was later extended by the authors to locally finite groups. Here they give a similar characterization of the dual-standard subgroups of non-periodic locally soluble groups.
