The authors have proved some recurrence relations for the so-called basic analogue of the G-function defined earlier by \textit{R. K.Saxena}, \textit{G. C.Modi} and \textit{S. L. Kalla} [Rev. Tec. Fac. Ing., Univ. Zulia 6, 139- 143 (1983; Zbl 0562.33004)]. They have also deduced the recurrence relations for \(E_ q\)-functions and generalized hypergeometric functions by assigning different particular values to the parameters.
