The author studies the transformation \[ y_ i=(\sum^{k}_{t=1}x_ t)-x_ i\quad (i=1,2,3,...,k) \] and gives formulae for the possible cycle lengths and the number of order (and unordered) k-tuples, modulo m. He also establishes some conjectures made by Everett and Stein concerning ordered k-tuples, modulo m.
