The author investigates the degree of approximation of bivariate functions on a rectangle by various spline-blended operators, using mixed moduli of smoothness of higher orders after a generalization of a theorem of Sharma and Meir for the univariate case, he proves permanence principles for multivariate cases showing how the blending operators inherit quantitative properties from the univariate case.
