The author proves some convergence theorems for eigenfunction expansions associated with differential operators on the basis of the latest results of \textit{V. Komornik} [Acta Math. Hung. 47, 261-280 (1986; Zbl 0609.34026)] and that of his own [Ann. Univ. Sci. Budap. Rolando Eötvös, Sect. Math. 32, 3-36 (1989; preceeding review)].
