The author studies the Lippmann-Schwinger integral equation containing certain model potentials on \(\mathbb R^3\). The case of weak sense solutions is investigated. The corresponding compactness and Hilbert-Schmidt properties of the operators are established. The results are applied to study the spectrum of the Schrödinger equation.
