Observing that the study of convergence of Hermite subdivision schemes is reduced to that of vector stationary subdivision schemes, the authors propose a criterion for \( C^0 \)-convergence for a large class of vector subdivision schemes. This criterion is applied to Hermite subdivision schemes. This enables the authors to generalize some results proved earlier [eg. \textit{N. Dyn} and \textit{D. Levin}, Spline Functions and the Theory of Wavelets, Providence RI: Am. Math. Soc. 18, 105--113 (1999; Zbl 0967.42024)]).
