\textit{R. Niebergall} and \textit{P. J. Ryan} [Math. Z. 217, No. 3, 479--485 (1994; Zbl 0826.53007)] introduced the notion of affine Dupin hypersurfaces in unimodular affine space; this class contains the subclass of affine isoparametric hypersurfaces. The present author gives interesting product constructions of affine Dupin hypersurfaces and of affine isoparametric hypersurfaces, generalizing Calabi's product construction of improper affine spheres.
