The purpose of this article is to study the Samelson products in the exceptional Lie group \(G_2\). The main result determines the Samelson product of \(\pi_{3}(G_2)\) and \(\pi_{11}(G_2)\), with applications to the self-maps of \(G_2\), and the multiplicative structure on \(G_2\).
