The author obtains new degree formulas for the Euler characteristics of the absolute and relative Milnor fibers of mappings \((f,g):(\mathbb{R}^n,0) \to (\mathbb{R}^2,0)\) under a rather technical assumption, namely the partial parallelizability of the mapping.
