Semisymmetric Riemannian manifolds are generalizations of locally symmetric spaces. This article studies three-dimensional pseudosymmetric contact metric manifolds. The authors obtain necessary conditions for a three dimensional contact metric manifold to be pseudosymmetric. By using them the authors determine pseudo symmetric manifolds \(M\) satisfying \(Q\xi= \rho \xi\), \(\rho\) a smooth function on \(M\), those of constant type or whose curvature satisfies the \((\kappa,\mu, \nu)\)-condition.
