The authors develop a modification of the transfer matrix method for calculating the macroscopic conductance of a nonuniform disordered resistor network. This modification is necessary in order to cope with the extreme situation of three-constituent mixtures \(M/I/S\) of \(M,I\) and \(S\) bonds. The special cases of such networks \(MS/I\) \((MI/S)\) that are near the point percolation threshold of \(M\) and \(S\) constituents (precolation threshold of \(M\) and \(I\) constituents) are considered, to test whether a diluted pre colating network of normal conducting bounds (a pre colating mixture of normal and perfectly conducting bonds) remain in the same universality class of critical behaviour when a finite fraction of those (normal) bonds are replaced by perfectly conducting (insulating) bonds). These questions are crucial for the understanding of connections of the macroscopic electric and elastic responses of pre colating networks.
