The authors are concerned with coagulation-fragmentation-scattering processes in the framework of a liquid-liquid dispersion. The main novelty of this paper is related to the discussion of the central role played by the volume scattering effect in the explanation of multiple breakage. Several numerical results illustrate the abstract properties pointed out in the paper.
