The purpose of this paper is analyze a phase-field model for which the solid fraction is explicitly functionally dependent of both the phase-field variable and the temperature (without the possibility of convection of the melted material). For an initial-boundary value problem approximations by using semidiscretization in time are constructed. Authors prove existence and regularity of solutions of the original problem under rather natural physical conditions. Also, the long time behavior of the solutions are discussed.
