General results on the convergence of multipoint Hermite-Padé approximants of Nikishin systems (Q854988)

Starting from a finite system of Borel measures, one defines the corresponding Nikishin system of Markov functions. The authors generalize the classical Hermite-Padé approximation to the \(m\)-point approximation which is the sequence of \(m\) Hermite-Padé approximats. Then, they prove the uniform convergence of these approximants to the corresponding Nikishin function when the information taken in each point is increased, it is the convergence in function of number of given coefficients determining the Hermite-Padé approximant.
