Half-space problems for the Boltzmann equation: a survey (Q857627)

This paper reviews recent results about the half-space problem of the Boltzmann equation, i.e. the Boltzmann equation independent of the time variable and of the two tangential (to the wall) space variables, in the full nonlinear form as well as in the linearized one. In particular, the authors discuss about the relations between boundary conditions, which can be that of a phase transition. A uniqueness result for the case of null flow velocity at infinity is presented.
