The golden section (Q860194)

This paper describes the appearance of the golden mean \(\phi\) in various geometric figures and constructions and in nature and the human body. It also has a section on the history of \(\phi\). For the point of view that much of the literature on \(\phi\) can be misleading, the reader may consult the paper of \textit{G. Markowsky} in [College Math.
