Using the point-line characterization of product spaces of Corrado Segre of \textit{N. Melone} and \textit{D. Olanda} [Rend. Mat. Appl., VII. Ser. 1, 381--397 (1981; Zbl 0492.51006)] and a theorem of \textit{C. Zanella} [Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. - Simon Stevin 3, No. 1, 65--79 (1996; Zbl 0859.51007)] the authors prove a point-line incidence characterization of the Corrado Segre variety of type \(\{n, m\}\) in terms of Tallini sets.
