The authors correct the error in the paper by \textit{Ju.-H. Park, S. Won}, ``A note on stability of neutral delay-differential systems.'' J. Franklin Inst. 336, 543--548 (1999; Zbl 0969.34066)] and establish a new stability criterion. The following linear neutral delay-differential system is considered \[ \frac d{dt}\,[x(t)-c\;x(t-\tau)]=Ax(t)+Bx(t-\tau). \]
