Asymptotic stability of Riemann solutions in BGK approximations to certain multidimensional systems of conservation laws (Q860743)

The authors consider a system of conservation laws in \(\mathbb R^n\) with Riemann initial conditions. They are concerned with the asymptotic stability of the nonplanar two-state solutions of the BGK approximation of the problem. They prove that under certain conditions there exists the unique \(L^\infty\) asymtotically stable (in \(L^1_{\text{loc}}\) as \(t\rightarrow 0\)) solution to the BGK problem.
