A regular semigroup \(S\) satisfying the condition \(eS\subseteq Se\) or \(Se\subseteq eS\) for every idempotent \(e\) is a completely regular orthodox semigroup and is called an \(LR\)-regular orthogroup. \(S\) is called an \(LR\)-normal orthogroup if in addition its set \(E(S)\) of all idempotens forms a normal band, that is, \(efge=egfe\) for all \(e,f,g\in E(S)\). The \(LR\)-normal orthogroups are investigated and the gearing structure of this kind of semigroups is introduced.
