The author proves that every fragmentable linearly ordered compact space is almost totally disconnected. It follows from a result of Arvanitakis that every linearly ordered quasi-Radon-Nikodým compact space is a Radon-Nikodým compact space. This result can be considered a new contribution to the problem of whether the class of Radon-Nikodým compact spaces is closed under continuous images.
