Two new nonlinear methods, which are defined by nonlinear approximate inverses, for solving the symmetric saddle point problems are proposed and are called corrected Uzawa methods. Their convergence rates are analyzed. Numerical experiments show that one of the new methods needs less iteration and has more smooth convergence curves than two other nonlinear Uzawa methods [cf. \textit{Z.-H. Cao}, Numer. Linear Algebra Appl. 11, 1--24 (2004)] when applied to Navier-Stokes equations discretized by mixed finite element methods.
