The authors determine the structure and the order of the full group of automorphisms \(\Aut(G)\) for a finite \(p\)-group \(G\) (\(p\) is an odd prime) which is a split extension of two cyclic \(p\)-groups. The techniques used are similar with those in a previous paper of the authors and \textit{D. J. McCaughan} [Arch. Math. 86, No. 6, 481-489 (2006; Zbl 1103.20016)], but the computational complexity requires the use of GAP.
