Mixed-hybrid discretization methods for the \(P_{1}\) equations (Q870286)

The authors present mixed-hybrid discretization methods for the linear Boltzmann transport equations of the type \(P_1\). The considered equations arise in the computational neutron transport. The used methods combine the advantages of both mixed and hybrid methods. Their study gives an insight on purely mixed and purely hybrid methods. The well-posedness of the mixed-hybrid discretization method for the \(P_1\) equations is proved.
