This note deals with periodic difference equations and the question of the existence of periodic solutions. Under a dissipativity condition, the authors show the existence of a nontrivial periodic solution. They also give an example in which the minimal period of this solution is less than the period of the system, and they formulate a condition to prevent such a property.
