A geometric approach to study the Schrödinger equation for the three body problem is given. First the Schrödinger equation is reduced to a PDE defined solely in terms of the triangular parameters. This is done using the \(\text{SO}(3)\) symmetry of the problem. Further reduction is done and the eigen-basis of the angular operator is derived. Hopefully this study will make a systematic study for this problem feasible.
