The result reported in the present paper is based on an extension of Riemann's integration (as an alternative to Lebesgue's integration), that involves a direct projection of the curve of \(f(x)\) on the \(y= x\) line itself. Evaluation of this integral is shown to be related to the solution of nonlinear Cauchy problem and/or a nonlinear functional differential equation.
