Summary: By using the approximation of CR functions by polynomials, we prove that functions which are separately CR are jointly CR. We regain in this way a result by \textit{A. E. Tumanov} and \textit{G. M. Khenkin} [Funct. Anal. Appl. 17, 285--294 (1983); translation from Funkts. Anal. Prilozh. 17, No. 4, 49--61 (1983; Zbl 0572.32018)] by a simple and direct proof.
