The present paper is a survey of results proved earlier. Freely quasiconformal maps and related maps in Banach spaces are considered. A criterion for a map to be freely quasiconformal is obtained. A sufficient condition for the image of a domain to be \(c^{\,\prime}\)-uniform is proved. Some results on bilipschitz extensions of mappings are obtained. Open problems and conjectures are also given.
